Swan (Mute)
The name “mute” comes from the fact that these swans are quiet during flight or communicate with grunts and barks. Mute swan are very territorial. The familiar pose with neck curved back and wings half raised, known as busking, is a threat display. The male is known as a cob, the female as a pen, and the young as cygnets. The cygnets are able to fly after 4 months.
