Guest Guidelines

  • Enter Safari Park and Small Animal Adventure at your own risk.
  • Remain in your vehicle or tour bus AT ALL TIMES.
  • NO open vehicles. No bodies hanging outside of windows, sunroofs, sitting on the roof, or riding in pickup beds while driving through the Safari Park. If you do, you will be escorted out of the park immediately.
  • Side doors and hatches must be closed.
  • Guests should ensure that their vehicle is in good operating condition with their gas tank filled and tires properly inflated. (HVAA is not responsible for damages to any vehicle that enters the Safari Park.)
  • Do not honk horn unless you need immediate staff assistance. For this situation, honk horn repeatedly.
  • Absolutely NO pets or service animals allowed.
  • Maximum speed limit is 5 mph.
  • No smoking.
  • No outside food or drinks may be given to the animals (only HVAA-provided feed).
  • Feed the animals by pouring the feed into their mouth or onto the ground: DO NOT feed from your hands or throw the food at them.
  • ONLY feed animals when the vehicle is completely STOPPED to prevent injury.
  • Put your window up if you do not want them sticking their heads in looking for tasty park feed.
  • Never close your window with an animal's head in it.
  • Remember that our animals are wild and can be unpredictable and potentially dangerous.
  • Please keep all trash out of the park; litter is a health hazard for our animals.
  • If you drop a feed cup, DO NOT leave the vehicle to retrieve it (staff will collect discarded cups at the end of the day).
  • DO NOT attempt to feed or touch any newborn animals in the park. Mothers are VERY protective, and they will use their horns to protect their babies. That is their nature. These animals are not pets.
  • DO NOT grab horns or antlers.
  • Please be on the lookout for the animals as it may be hard to see them if they are in front of your vehicle, especially the babies.
