Sika Deer
The sika deer, also known as the northern spotted deer or the Japanese deer, is a species of deer native to much of East Asia. It is a small forest-dwelling deer. Their coats are reddish-brown and spotted in summers, and dark brown and sometimes without spots in winter. The males court females similarly to the elk (but less showy). Sikas are short-winded and run to hide in thickets.
