Peafowl
The male Indian blue peafowl, known for its blue color and fanciful tail, is commonly known as a peacock. Peacocks do not develop their trains until they are three years old. The female is a peahen, and is smaller in size, less colorful with a general brown color, and has less train. Their offspring are peachicks.
Did you know...peacocks attract females for mating with their color and dance performances. Females do not dance but have the final say on who will be their mating partners based on the dance they observe.
