We are looking for energetic people who love people and animals and are looking to be a positive, cheerful member of the Hidden Valley team. Scheduling is flexible, but employees are expected to work most weekends and holidays. Having flexibility to cross-train and work other positions makes you versatile to give meal breaks to other positions and pickup additional hours.
Safari Park Positions:

Concession Cashier-Attendant (Sundays): Assist guests with food & beverage purchases, stock product, expedite orders, handle payments, maintain a clean & sanitary restaurant. Perform opening & closing duties for restaurant. Be knowledgeable of menu items including modifiers, allergens, and pricing. Be knowledgeable about Hidden Valley park operations to enhance guest experience. Qualifications: Polite, well-spoken, require little supervision to stay on task, positive personality, and punctual attendance. Excellent math and communication skills. Team player. Able to operate point-of-sale system. Attention to detail is a must. Able to lift 25 pounds.
- Trailside Grill Cook (Sundays): Perform opening & closing kitchen duties for food service operation. Be knowledgeable of food & beverage menu items, modifiers, allergens. Ability to work kitchen equipment. Prepare and cook food with consistent quality to meet guest expectations. Inventory food and paper products weekly and create a purchase list. Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen. Adhere to all Wyoming County Health Department code requirements for food safety. Keep a clean and professional appearance. Qualifications: Team player. Require little supervision to stay on task, positive personality, and punctual attendance. Excellent math and communication skills. Ability to walk & stand throughout the shift. Able to lift 40 pounds. Able to use kitchen display system to view-bump guest orders. Attention to detail is a must.
- Small Animal Adventure (SAA) Attendant: Greet and check-in guests prior to entry into SAA; sell admission; sell carrot and animal feed, snacks, and beverages; instruct guests on SAA rules; monitor guest and animal behavior ensuring safety for all. Stock beverages & snacks and fill animal water buckets at end of shift. Qualifications: Polite, well-spoken, require little supervision to stay on task, positive personality, and punctual attendance. Able to operate iPad point-of-sale/reservation system. Lift and carry 5 gallons of water from hydrant to animal sheds.
- Small Animal Adventure Animal Welfare Caretaker (6am - 10am): Clean SAA animal stalls, sheds, fenced pens, and public areas; clean auto waterers and water animals. Ready SAA main entry/exit. Maintain SAA for guest and animal safety. Qualifications: Self-motivated, require little supervision to stay on task, ability to take direction and perform tasks in a time efficient manner. Attention to detail is a must. Work with Animal Welfare Caretaker to complete tasks before opening for guests. Positive personality and punctual attendance. Comply with all HVAA safety protocols.
- Trading Post Attendant: Assist guests with gift shop purchases, sell game meat, stock shelves, maintain a clean & organized store. Roast nuts as needed & clean materials. Be knowledgeable about Hidden Valley operations to enhance guest experience. Qualifications: Polite, well-spoken, require little supervision to stay on task, positive personality, and punctual attendance. Excellent math and communication skills. Able to operate iPad reservation system and retail point-of-sale system. Attention to detail is a must.
- Drive-Thru Admissions Attendant: Verify guest presale admission, sell admission, feed, and souvenir cups. Fill grain cups/totes for Safari Bus tours. Maintain a clean & organized shed. Perform closing duteis to include using golf cart to restock safari grain bins and to empty bucket/cup collection bins on roadway. Be knowledgeable about Hidden Valley’s offerings and operations. Qualifications: Positive personality, polite, well-spoken, and punctual attendance. Excellent math and communication skills. Able to operate iPad point-of-sale and reservation system.
- Building Cleaner: Clean Lodge Lobby, Entrance and Restrooms; Clean Trailside Grill Restrooms; Trailside Grill Restaurant; Trailside Main Entrance (cleaning windows, floors, restroom toilets and sinks, emptying garbage where needed, wiping down railings, cleaning stairway, etc.). Clean Employee Restroom. Clean Trailside Grill Outside Patio Area (windows & hose concrete). Clean Hotel Hallway. Clean Lodge Event Room and Hotel Rooms as needed. Complete daily towel laundering and hotel bed laundering as needed. Appropriately use cleaning products to maintain clean areas for staff and guest use/health. Take garbage bags from cleaning to dumpster with golf cart. Responsible for reporting need of cleaning materials in a timely manner. Qualifications: Positive personality and punctual attendance. Self-motivated, require little supervision to stay on task, ability to take direction and perform tasks in a time efficient manner. Attention to detail is a must. Must be organized. Able to occasionally lift 25 pounds. Able to routinely bend, reach up and perform repetitive motions with arms and legs while cleaning.
- Cleaner, Safari Bus: Meticulously sweep and pickup grain from bus floor. Throw soiled grain into dumpster. Occasionally, power wash outside of bus. Qualifications: Positive personality and punctual attendance. Attention to detail is a must. Ability to complete task in a reasonable timeframe. Cleaning one to four buses depending on number of buses used for the day’s tours. Drive-Thru Admission Attendant could do this job after completing Drive-Thru job if a full 30-mionute meal was taken. Takes approximately 15 minutes to properly sweep each bus.
- Animal Welfare Caretaker (AM and/or PM shifts): Follow instructions to feed, water and maintain clean habitat for animals outside the Park (SAA, the pond enclosures, Black Belly exhibit, BDF male donkeys-horses) and inside the Park as directed. Ability to work with and handle small animals in guest area, observe animal health. Qualifications: Self-motivated, require little supervision to stay on task, ability to take direction and perform tasks in a time efficient manner. Strong communication skills, verbal & written. Positive personality and punctual attendance. Attention to detail is important. Ability to work with others. Comply with all HVAA safety protocols.
- Guest Services Admin Attendant (front desk): Assist guests in person and on the phone . Book walk-in guests for desired experiences. Assist staff, multi-task to complete various job duties including testing water, checking phone messages, attending to Lodge bathroom trash and quick cleanups. Qualifications: Positive personality, polite, well-spoken, and punctual attendance. Excellent math, communication, and time management skills. Able to operate iPad point-of-sale/reservation system. Attention to detail is important.
- Safari Bus Driver-Guide: Greet, verify guest presale admission, handle animal feed, load guests on and off the bus. Educate guests on the Park animals, history, stories. Monitor guests throughout the tour, maintaining a safe tour for guests and animals. Sell animal feed to guests wishing to purchase more while in the Park. Comply with all HVAA safety protocols. Qualifications: Ability to safely drive bus through the Park trail, cattle guards, gates. Ability to understand bus vehicle needs and do equipment checks. Self-motivated, require little supervision to stay on task, ability to prioritize tasks for best time management, well-spoken, positive personality, punctual attendance, need excellent math (handle money) and communication skills. Able to operate iPad reservation system. Attention to detail is a must.
- Park Tour Operations Supervisor: Oversee and assist Park staff to ensure efficiency and smooth execution of Park tour operations. Monitor the Park to ensure guest and animal safety, pickup feed buckets on roadway. Problem-solve guest issues as they relate to Park operations. Sell animal feed to guests wishing to purchase more while in the Park. Observe animal health while driving through Park. Perform closing duties. Comply with all safety protocols. Qualifications: Self-motivated, require little supervision to stay on task, ability to prioritize tasks for best time management, well-spoken, positive personality and punctual, need excellent math and communication skills. Able to operate iPad point-of-sale/reservation system. Attention to detail is a must.
