Park Policies
- Guest conduct. Hidden Valley Animal Adventure (HVAA) is a family-friendly park. Unruly, disruptive, or offensive behavior, including the mistreating of animals and/or getting out of your vehicle within the Safari Park grounds is strictly prohibitive. We reserve the right to escort violators off the property without refund.
- Dress code. Please dress appropriately for our family-friendly environment as well as safety. Guests should dress casually and comfortably for the local weather. No guest may go shirtless or barefoot. Proper footwear must be worn at all times. Walkways may be wet or muddy. We recommend closed-toe shoes for your safety.
- No pets or service animals. For the safety of our guests and HVAA animals, service animals and pets are NOT ALLOWED. HVAA animals and/or your pet may quickly become unsettled creating an unsafe situation for all.
- Strollers and Wagons. These may be left under the Trailside Grill Veranda when going on a Safari Bus tour. They may also be taken into the Small Animal Adventure main petting area for your walkabout.
- Alcoholic beverages. No alcoholic beverages can be brought onto HVAA property. Alcoholic beverages may be available for purchase for private catered events for guests 21 years of age and older. Proper ID is required to purchase and/or consume alcohol. Guests who are intoxicated may be removed from the property without refund.
- Inclement weather. Please check operating hours the morning of your visit as Park hours are subject to change. HVAA operates rain or shine except when severe rain causes flooding or wash outs, or if there is thunder or lighting in the area.
In the event inclement weather causes us to pause operations, and your vehicle is already in the park, we encourage you to drive out of the woods to an open area and wait for the storm to pass. If the park reopens after the storm passes, you may reenter the Park through the Self-Drive Thru Admission lane at no additional cost. If conditions cause us to close for one continuous hour, go to Guest Services in The Lodge lobby to get a voucher for a return visit for the activity you were unable to complete. The return visit voucher is valid for one year from date of issue for the name(s) listed on the voucher. Once tours and the Small Animal Adventure reopen, return vouchers will no longer be issued. - Damage to vehicle or personal injury. HVAA is not responsible for any/all of the following upon guests entering the Safari Park:

An attempt to locate your item in the Park or on property will be made the same day. Found items will be held for up to three days. If unclaimed, they will be discarded.
- Photography. Once guests enter HVAA, guests grant HVAA the right to film, video, record, or photograph them on property without payment or consideration. Guests may take photos and video while enjoying their visit to HVAA. HVAA requests that such photos or videos be used for personal enjoyment only.
