Animal lovers who have traveled to Canada for the “African Lion Safari” won’t need a passport for an attraction much closer to home. There is an adventure hidden in Wyoming County.
Raising animals is second nature for Hans Boxler, 74. “Oh, I love my animals. That’s why I have them, I guess,” Boxler said. He has 400 of them. Unlike a zoo, the animals roam freely over 63 acres in the Wyoming County Hamlet of Varysburg. “The animals are all in a natural habitat. They aren’t caged up or anything.
